Morgawr is the name of Cornwall's very own sea monster - and as the name is in the ancient Cornish language it shows how long people have been aware of it. The name means, I believe, either Sea or Big(Mor) Beast(Gawr). If you search 'morgawr' you can find it on the internet. It was last reported seen from the cliffs in about 1980 by a couple of walkers who had never heard of it before. I think one(presumed to be a juvenile) was reported seen 'clinging' to a buoy early in the twentieth century. Apparently the fishermen who saw it weren't particularly surprised and didn't bother to try and catch it. It is always described like the creature the aircrew describe above - long neck, flippers... Trouble is it would have to be warm blooded and scientists don't believe any dinosaurs were... but that could change?...'
