King's Hill Bigfoot

Monarch, Montana - Little Belt Mountains

The original photo was taken by my mother, who still safeguards it. She was on a small camping trip with my dad, taking photos of the scenery around. The bigfoot was not even seen at all till after the pictures were developed when they returned home. This was taken in 1994 using a standard 35mm camera. Keep in mind that she won't allow the photo to leave her side, and has no notable technology at home, so copying the picture was not easy. This is a 3rd- generation copy made by scanning the original into a computer and enlarging it, then printing it, then using my digital camera to snap the best copy I could of that... Needless to say, the original is far superior, and she still also holds the negatives. I will post a better version as soon as I can.

These mountains are naturally quite eerie to begin with. It is typically attributed to many ghost stories that surround the area, of miners and the native american burial ground (which a missile silo now sits on)... But no matter who you are, you immediately get the impression that you are not alone when you step into these woods. Regardless of exactly what the creature is, it is not human, and it is not a bear. I've lived in Montana nearly my whole life and never seen anything else like it.

I only hope that by posting this, I am not contributing in any way to the hunt, capture or kill of any of these magnificent elusive creatures.
