Walter Mitty was a character of James Thurber, i think. My dad's name was Walter. Two entertaining books I am reading are entitled: Beyond Star Trek: Physics from Alien Invasions to the End of Time, by Lawrence M. Krauss and Nature's Blueprint:Symmetry and the Search for a Unified Theory of Matter and Force, by Dan Hooper. Any physicist working on discovering anything about dark matter is up for lots of heartache and/or a Nobel Prize. As for aliens being real, why do most physicists say it is possible, but they don't believe there are any living intelligent beings in our solar system besides us. Inter-dimensional beings? Well, after seeing photos and videos of drones and other space ships, it makes one wonder, 'What reality?' Yes, I should start and keep files before my mother passes on. It has been a quest since my teens to know and I want definitive answers. The other part of the "abnormal" is that there seems to be many ghostly or spiritually categorized encounters that cloud the issue around many of the sightings I have read about. Now, aliens are said to be demons. Humans are certainly creative. At any rate, preconceived notions about what truth is guide the best of us, even Einstein. Thanks for the advice.

Did your wife suffer through Star Wars? It was not everyone's cup of tea to be sure. She had every right to her opinion. I think it was an amazing movie and a fun thrill ride. I enjoyed the first two movies, but I am not a fan of the newer versions. Science interests me as much as history. I have always taught my classes that they should be careful about accepting facts at face value. Too many errors in schoolbooks to mention. The facts may have been proven and stand today, but tomorrow? Now that there is an internet there is more access to other data. For instance, I believe that our beginning of civilization time line is not true for the most part. There are too many unaccountable gaps. I also believe that our history of human civilizations, the Sumerians and those just preceding them, are possibly the third, fourth, or even fifth in a line of civilizations. Every day there are new discoveries about our past history and every day there are scientists categorizing and theorizing according to their preconditioned subjective studies. As the new facts surface, the preconceived notions have to change, Anyway, there are still so many unanswered questions about who we are and where we are headed that it is always fascinating. I am intrigued by the unusual and the so-called abnormal. I am so normal to be almost boring except that I love life and want to answer most of my questions about what we are all doing here on Earth. Where are we really? What is out there? Is there really an alien presence? There is no death of personal consciousness, so what happens when we are not in the physical body anymore? Not answered yet. So Walter Mitty, what questions do you have?
